Introduction
The 14th edition of the Edmonton International Chess Festival will take place at the Edmonton Chess Club between June 18-23, 2019.
This year the top event will be a 10 player Round Robin with GM/IM norm opportunities. See: Main event details.
There will be an open tournament for up to 20 participants (already full!) The event will run on the weekend of June 21-23. Details are here.

All events occur at the Edmonton Chess Club.
Lecture
Monday, June 17, 6 PM
Grandmaster Alexander Shabalov, four-time US Champion, will give a lecture lasting one hour. Open to the public.
Entry fee: $10
Simul
Monday, June 17th at 7:15 PM
After the lecture, Grandmaster Steven Zierk will conduct a simultaneous exhibition. Limited to 20 players; must be rated under 2000 FIDE.
