2018 RESULTS
For 2018, we tallied all of the points to see who visited the most tournaments away from home – and the winner is Ian Findlay, who visited and played in an impressive 9 ACA tournaments outside his hometown! Ian gets the $200 first place prize for his adventures.
Bhavik Dave (Calgary) was a close second. He attended 8 events around the province, and he’ll get the $150 second prize. (And thank you, Bhavik,for your work in capturing all of these tournaments with your camera!)
Coming in third was Mark Tuvera (Viking/Edmonton), who scored 7 points. Mark will get the $100 third place prize.
There was also a random draw for an additional prize of $50. Any player who received 2 or more points in the Road Warrior competition was entered in the draw, which was conducted by Richard Pua and Terry Seehagen at the Edmonton Chess Club on Dec 17. The winner of the $50 was…Jerry Kobalenko (Canmore). Congrats to all the winners.
