6-round Swiss, 2 sections:
A. Over 1600 CFC
B. Under 1599 CFC

Titled Players
The Calgary Chess Club endeavours to have at least 3 players with the IM or GM title participate in the tournament
Time Control
90 minutes + 30 second increment
Round Times
Friday, May 27th: 7:00 pm
Saturday, May 28th: 10:00 am, 3:00 pm, 7:00 pm
Sunday, May 29th: 10:00 am and 3:00 pm
Guaranteed minimum 30 minute break between games
Pre-tournament announcements begin at 6:45pm on Friday
Pairings will be done immediately prior to beginning of each round and not posted in advance

Deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 25th
Participants will be capped at 100 and fills up well in advance of the tournament so secure your spot early

GM/IM/WIM free
Over 1600 Section: $100 up to April 30th
Over 1600 Section: $110 after May 1st
Under 1599 Section: $80 up to April 30th
Under 1599 Section: $90 after May 1st
$20 discount for juniors (under 20)
Playing up a Section
Players who were not rated 1600 when they registered or on Nov 16th, can play up a section by paying the higher entry fee
Prizes
At least 50% of total entry fees
The prizes will be posted before 4th round.

Top and 2nd for U2000
Top and 2nd U1800
Top and 2nd U1300
Top and 2nd U1000
Top female players in each section
Players can only win one cash prize and will be the given the prize of highest value
