2019 Calgary Seniors Championship

Eligibility:
 Must have reached age 50 by December 31, 2019; Alberta residents only please.

Format: 5-round Swiss, CFC & FIDE rated.
Time control: Game in 90 minutes with a 30-second increment from move 1
Round times: Saturday – 10 am, 2 pm, 6 pm; Sunday – 10 am, 2 pm or ASAP. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed. Default late time is 60 minutes.

Entry fee: $30 if pre-registered online before noon, Friday, March 22. $35 on-site. GM/WGM/IM/WIM/FM title holdersreceive free entry. CFC membership is required and may be purchased on-site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28for juniors. A single CFC tournament membership is $21 for adults, $11 for juniors.

Registration process: Fill out the registration form above. Payment will be made on-site by cash. On-site Registration:9:15-9:45 am on Saturday, March 23. Pre-registered players must come by 9:45 am on Saturday, or they won’t be paired.

Prizes: All entry fees go to the prize fund except for ACA dues of $5 per paid participant. The winner receives a $300 travelgrant to attend the Alberta Seniors Championship in Edmonton on May 11-12. The ACA travel reimbursement policy applies.

Byes: A maximum of two ½-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.

Tie Break for receiving the travel award: (cash prizes split equally)

5) Total Wins
