ACA junior membership ($1/year, included in CFC memberships) required.

Entry fee: $30 if preregistered online by noon, Friday, November 04. $40 onsite. Championship players are free. Payment will be made onsite by cash Pre-registered players must come by 9:45 am on the morning of the first round, or they won’t be paired.

This is a closed 6-player round robin. No byes available. Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds/move. No entry fee. CFC & FIDE rated. Alberta residents only. The winners of the 2022 Edmonton Junior Regional and Calgary Junior Regional will automatically qualify. The other four spots will be filled by players with the highest CFC rating between July 18 and Oct 17, 2022.

This section will be a 7-round Swisses (or round robins if small). Restricted by rating. Game in 45 minutes + 30 seconds/move.

1) Head to head (if all those tied played each other).
2) Buchholz (Sum of all scores of opponents).
3) Buchholz cut 1 (Sum of all scores of opponents except the lowest point scorer).
4) Sonneborn-Berger (Sum of all scores of opponents you won against and half the scores of opponents you drew).
5) Most wins.
6) Most games with black.
